1. Who we are
Reading Room ("we", "us", "the platform") is an IELTS reading practice platform created and operated by Abrar Sabab. You can reach the platform at https://abrarsabab.com.
This policy covers the Reading Room website, services, and the account you create to practice and access our preparation materials. We believe in transparency and have kept this policy clear, plain, and readable.
2. What we collect and why
We only collect the information strictly necessary to run the platform, safeguard your learning progress, and fulfill purchases. We do not sell your personal data or use third-party advertising trackers.

Zero Ad-Trackers: We do not use third-party analytics trackers, surveillance scripts, or behavioral ad pixels. Your study data is exclusively yours.
3. Where your data is stored
Your account data (name, email, progress records, and entitlements) is securely stored using Supabase, hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) enterprise infrastructure. Supabase provides our encrypted database layer and token authentication.
Because cloud infrastructure operates globally, your data may be processed on servers located outside Bangladesh. We rely on Supabase's and AWS's stringent security controls to protect your data both in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
4. Payments
We do not process card or mobile-wallet payments directly on our servers, and we never store your payment credentials, wallet PINs, or card numbers.
All monetary transactions are handled by UddoktaPay, our payment gateway. When you purchase premium chapters, UddoktaPay executes the transaction via Bangladeshi Mobile Financial Services — bKash, Nagad, Rocket, or Upay.
We receive a verifiable transaction record (including invoice sequence, payment status, and gateway transaction ID) so we can instantly unlock your premium access. Please review UddoktaPay's own privacy terms for additional information on how they handle financial data.
6. How we use your information
We process your data strictly to:
- Create, authenticate, and maintain your student account.
- Unlock and deliver premium IELTS course chapters you purchase.
- Persist your lesson progress, quiz submissions, and custom notes.
- Send transactional receipts, invoices, and critical system notices.
- Respond to direct customer support and refund requests.
- Protect platform integrity against unauthorized sharing, scraping, or abuse.
We never share, sell, or rent your personal information to third-party marketing companies.
7. Your rights
You maintain full control over your personal data. You may:
- Update your profile: Edit your display name directly from your profile settings (subject to a brief cooldown to prevent abuse).
- Request account deletion: Email us at cred.rroom@gmail.com and we will delete your account and associated personal data. Essential payment records required for accounting or legal obligations will be retained as required by law.
- Data inquiry: Request a summary of the personal information stored in your account at any time.
8. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active. If you choose to delete your account, your learning progress and credentials are removed permanently, with the exception of historical billing logs retained for tax and financial record-keeping.
9. Children
Reading Room is designed for learners aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please notify us and we will promptly delete the account.
10. Changes to this policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements in our platform or legal requirements. When updates occur, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. Continued use of Reading Room after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
